The old Pavilion shown above right (Courtesy of Chris Vickery), was demolished in 1991 to make way for the modern building currently in its place. The new pavilion has two large sized changing rooms with a shower room, Ladies, Gents and Disabled Toilet Facilities, a Large Tea Room, a Kitchen/Food Preparation area and terracing to the front.
The Outdoor Nets with all-weather tracks were originally laid down circa 1999, and have since been refurbished with a new Cage and Net Surround. The nets are used extensively by the club, particularly for development of the Academy, and the villagers are actively encouraged to use them throughout the season.
The most recent additions to the ground are the Mobile Sight Screens, which were purchased for the start of the 2008 season.

The Gardiner Recreation Ground has been home to GCC since 1888. The playing square has been increased in size in recent years and can now accommodate up to ten tracks, all carefully prepared and nurtured by Pete Irving and Colin Jeffries all year round, ensuring cricket can be played uninterupted throughout the season. Bordered by mature Horse Chestnut Trees, the ground is a favourite of GCC players and visiting teams alike.
